With incredible beach access, the area is a popular spot for body surfing and summer night campfires.
The Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History is located in Seabright, showcasing a sampling of the region's geology, flora and fauna, and native Californian culture. There’s ample greenspace within the borders of Frederick Street Park, which overlooks Woods Lagoon, and an eclectic mix of bars and restaurants are clustered around Murray Street and Seabright Avenue.
Seabright real estate primarily consists of older, well-established single-family homes and high-rise apartment complexes. A large percentage of Seabright housing is seasonally occupied, making the neighborhood a traveler’s haven.

Beaches are a main form of entertainment in Seabright. Locals often gather at Seabright Beach, which stretches out for a half-mile and is the perfect vantage point for Wednesday night sailboat races, and Twin Lakes Beach, a popular place for swimming, picnicking, and birdwatching.
 
Residents also frequent the Rio Theatre, a veteran music venue founded in 1949 that hosts comedians and indie bands, and the Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor, which offers boating and other extracurricular marine activities.
