About Sean Poudrier

We began our search for a Santa Cruz house from out of state (NY) and ran into Sean at an open house during a rare visit here. We thank our lucky stars we did. He impressed us right away with his exceptionally upbeat interest in helping us, his knowledge of the local market, and his focus on what we were looking for, hard as it might be to find. As our search escalated and houses came and went as they do in Santa Cruz, Sean was quick to return phone calls, negotiate on our behalf with sellers/agents, give a quick thumbs-down when a house or seller seemed lacking and, when needed, refer us to contractors even setting up appointments and showing up to help us listen and learn. (How he could operate this way with more than one client is still beyond us, but this is the root of his success.) Now, just a few months after the successful purchase of our rather unusual but perfectly matched (to us) house, we feel we could not have pulled it off without an agent of Sean's work ethic, integrity, and perhaps most of all, remarkable ease and skill working with everyone from contractors and agents to brokers, sellers, and buyers. It takes a village to buy a house, and Sean gets this: he orchestrates the community. In the months since the purchase, he has continued to support us in every way he can. In our 3+ decades of house buying, we have not seen his peer.

I cannot recommend Sean highly enough as a real estate agent. We purchased a piece of raw land, which is much more complicated than just purchasing a home, and he was an invaluable resource during the whole, many month, process. It was clear that his primary goal throughout was to make sure that we were truly confident we were purchasing the ideal property for our needs, and he went out of his way again and again to help us. I really felt like we had a partner in this purchase, he wasn't just a real estate agent trying to make a sale. He helped us set up the testing we needed to do on the land, and even met with various contractors and land use advisors with me at the property to help make sure that I was asking all the necessary questions to make sure we were getting what we thought with this purchase. He was incredibly available throughout the process, responding very quickly to any question I sent him. His honesty, integrity, and willingness work with us to make sure we were confident in the purchase made what could have been a difficult process much much easier. Sean was extremely helpful in selling the home we were living in as well as assisting us in buying our current home. He was able to coordinate both transactions which allowed us to move into our new home the same week we closed escrow and moved out of our old home. During the process he was accessible by phone and text and kept us informed of all developments. He worked with our loan officer and helped us with the usual challenges of providing all the documentation needed to qualify for a home loan.
